Dr. Long Tian is a senior research associate in NSPARC of Mississippi State University. His research interests include machine learning and deep learning model for data analysis.

Dr. Tian received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, City College of New York, New York, NY, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS, in 2019. Between 2019 and 2022, he was a postdoctoral research associate in NSPARC and forced on the data analysis with advanced algorithms.  During his postdoctoral research associate time, he created models for the small area fly time estimation and unemployment insurance profiling prediction in the projects of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Mississippi Department of Employment Security (MDES).
