Columbus, MS, is the home of The Communiversity at East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) Center for Manufacturing Technology Excellence 2.0. The Communiversity is a state-of-the-art workforce training center looking to produce trained workers for some of the world’s most technically advanced manufacturers. The Appalachian Regional Commission has invested $10.7 million in the 135,000-square-foot facility that delivers training and education to support the expanding automotive supplier, aerospace, and advantaged manufacturing industries which is driving job growth in Mississippi’s Golden Triangle. The new facility features laboratory space; 21 high-bay training and education spaces; incubator bays for new start-ups; equipment and machinery required to demonstrate an actual production area; technology-appropriate classrooms, learning laboratories; and meeting and administrative space. Moreover, the facility has the flexibility and capacity to adapt equipment and programs to meet the evolving workforce needs of local employers.
East Mississippi Community College is a public community college serving six counties in East Central Mississippi, offering university-parallel programs, career-technical programs, and workforce programs. EMCC is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our students, our community and our personnel through instructional opportunities, with specific focus on a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Parking for MSU Baseball Game and Special Dinner Event, Tuesday, May 9th, 5pm – 9pm (official game start time at 6:00)
For free parking, please park across from the football stadium at the Barnes and Noble Cafe. Walk north from the football stadium on College View Dr. to the Dudy Noble Field-Polk-DeMent Stadium. There will be Athlete Engineering logo signs with directions as well as staff to direct you to the event. You will continue past the basketball Humphrey Coliseum and through the construction pathway. Once you see the main entrance to Dudy Noble Field and the baseball statues, you will continue north walking along the side of the west side of the baseball stadium until you see the large tailgate tent area.
The tailgate with food and access to your game tickets and armbands will be located just outside the northwest corner of the stadium (to the left of the four-story Baseball Lofts). To attend the game and this special dinner event, you must purchase this item during the summit registration check out.
Inside the the Dudy Noble Field baseball stadium will be an area called the “Left Field Lounge.” Four left field lounge locations have been designated for Athlete Engineering Summit guests to stand or sit and enjoy the game. These locations will be designated using signs showing the Athlete Engineering logo. The locations for these four lounges are identified in the picture below the direction. Please note that the fourth lounge will have a bartender and tips are strongly encouraged.

Starkville and Columbus are located in the northeastern part of Mississippi. It is about a two-hour drive from Jackson, MS, a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Tuscaloosa, AL, and a three-hour drive from Memphis, TN.
- Golden Triangle Regional Airport – GTR (Columbus, MS), 2 miles east of The Communiversity, 12 miles west of Columbus, and 17 miles east of Starkville. Delta has direct flights from Atlanta to GTR.
- Birmingham – Shuttlesworth International Airport – BHM (145 miles away from Starkville)
- Jackson – Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport – JAN (126 miles away from Starkville)
- Memphis International Airport – MEM (182 miles away from Starkville).
For flights into and out of GTR, there is a free shuttle service Monday through Saturday: Golden Triangle Regional Airport Express
- Shuttle will depart 30 minutes after flight arrival and will arrive at The Courtyard at Marriott 55 minutes after flight arrival.
- Shuttle will depart The Courtyard at Marriott 1 hour and 25 minutes before flight time.
- Shuttle will arrive at GTR 1 hour before flight time.
- Schedule will shift based on actual flight arrival times.
