Allison DeKuiper is an Assistant within the Performance Science Department for the Tampa Bay Rays. She joined the Tampa Bay Rays Performance Science staff in January of 2020. Her research focuses on the relationships between heart rate variability, training load, player reported outcomes and sleep. Prior to the Rays, Allison worked at WHOOP as an Elite Performance Manager. Her primary role served to be a liaison between the tech company and various institutions such as university teams, professional sports, research organizations and the Department of Defense. Prior to her time at WHOOP, Allison worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with Women’s Soccer at the University of Kentucky. She was also the Head Athletic Trainer for the Seattle Sounders Women’s Soccer team in 2013.

Allison earned her B.S. in Athletic Training from Hope College and her M.S. in Athletic Training from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
