Anna Cruse is the Assistant Director for Applied Health & Performance Science at the University of Utah and oversees all sports science and applied health efforts for the Olympic Sports at Utah. At Utah she serves on the High Performance Leadership Team, a group dedicated to maximizing student-athlete health and performance. In addition to this role, Anna works as a sports scientist and data analyst at Silicon Valley Exercise Analytics (svexa), a company that works in partnership with sports companies, athletes, and coaches to develop individual algorithms that enable end users to take action from their information and increase their potential. Prior to these roles, Anna worked as a sports scientist at Penn State University and the Philadelphia Union, where she developed a match prediction model to advise organizational decisions. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota where she was also a member and letter winner on the Gopher rowing team. Her M.S. is from Temple University in Integrative Exercise Physiology. During her graduate work, she also spent two years as an assistant rowing coach at Temple.
