Brave is currently a manager in the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) department at Ingalls Shipbuilding, the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi and a major contributor to the economic growth of Alabama, employing more than 11,000 employees.  Ingalls is the largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants.  Brave plays a crucial role in spearheading a group of safety professional dedicated to ensuring employees are provided a safe working environment and return home safely as they build four classes of ships that will protect our country.  Currently,  Brave and the EH&S department are partnered with Mississippi State’s Athlete Engineering Program on developing a custom heat wearable device for Ingalls employees to combat heat stress. 

Prior to working at Ingalls, Brave was a Bioenvironmental Engineering (Environmental Safety and Health) Non commissioned Officer (NCO) in the U.S. Air Force, where he learned from highly trained instructors with years of experience and participated in hands on training. This firsthand and invaluable experience has enabled Brave to enhance his education and knowledge throughout his 10 year military career. Brave’s training consisted of various fields such as occupational, health, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, hazardous waste and more. Brave was given the opportunity to exhibit his knowledge and skills when deployed with the 379th Expeditionary Forces, in support of Iraqi Enduring Freedom.

Brave is a graduate of Columbia Southern with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health and United States Sports Academy with a Bachelor of Sports Science in Sports Strength and Conditioning.

Brave is married to Fatina Brave, and they have three children, Elani, Monclair and Mason.  The Braves are members of Infinity Church-The Apostolic Church in D’Iberville, MS. for 22 years.
